Procedures
1. Notify the school principal of the situation.

2. Telephone local
medical response personnel. Telephone:____________
3. If emergency
transportation is needed from the school campus
by personal vehicle, it may
be necessary to contact the local law enforcement
agency. This should be done only in extreme
emergency situations if a
medical transport is not available.
4. Utilize local
life-saving or life-sustaining techniques/trained
personnel.
5. A school
employee should accompany the person in
the medical/emergency
transport and remain with the person at the
hospital/clinic until a family member arrives.
6. If the injured
person is a student the original registration card
should go with the student
to the medical facilities with a copy retained at
the school.
7. In most
instances the local law enforcement agency can
assist in finding parents or
relatives, if assistance is needed.
8. Provide the
local law enforcement agency with a copy of the
student registration card or
employee identification card.
9. Notify the
Superintendent's Office and provide factual
details.
10. Review school
policy (SEE ATTACHMENTS).
